I'll try to add it to FSE!įorget SMP, Forget Xenviro! FSE beats them all and can you believe it, it is a FREEWARE and BETA version.Influence terrain and environment rendering in a deeper way IMPROVED PERFORMANCE: FSE now takes only 2-5 fps rather than 10 MXAO ambient occlusion and global illumination (disable AA to make it work) The developers claim a drop in FPS, but strangely a found a massive gain in FPS when it comes to default clouds.

I used SMP 4.5 briefly, it was impressive with those lens flare effect but not to mention the painful drop in FPS and how low I had to set the cloud coverage. The sky colour is perhaps the first thing you'd notice and how smoothly it blends in with the horizon and clouds. There are many highly rated sky colours in the forum, but each had it's drawback when it came to integration with clouds or other environmental variables, luckily FSE is a complete package. Surely the developers don't want to leave any loophole. The smoke textures are way, way better than the default ones. It uses photoreal textures, but the only problem is the x-plane particle system which limits the textures as mere pictures injected into the sim. You can notice the large puffs behind the wheel and I don't think this can really be made any better. In this take-off from De-Gaulle, you can see how smoothly the sky blends in with the terrain with a hazy effect.

Landing into Sint Maartent was a highlight.
